Equipping the Next Generation

GHN Teen Mentorship Program

We don't just find placements. We prepare students, support them through their transitions, and help them develop the career confidence and emotional resilience they need to thrive.

Solving the transition gap

Schools and parents often struggle to prepare teenagers for the realities of life beyond academia. Our program directly addresses the three biggest hurdles adolescents face today.

Career Uncertainty

Many students choose careers based on peer influence or parental pressure. We help them experience real workplaces before making life-changing decisions.

Poor Employability Skills

Employers complain that young people lack communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We intentionally develop these professional competencies.

Student Wellbeing

Transitioning to the workplace can be stressful. With our background in mental health, we provide the psychosocial support and resilience training that standard placements lack.

Two distinct pathways of care

Out-of-School Holiday Program

School holidays shouldn't just be idle time. We ensure holidays are used productively through experiential learning and guided engagement.

  • Workplace Exposure: Linking students with selected institutions to understand expectations.
  • Practical Skills: First aid certification, financial literacy, and online safety.
  • Career Guidance: Helping students align their interests with their strengths early on.

The GHN 5-Step Placement Process

For our holiday workplace exposure program, we follow a rigorous framework to ensure both students and host employers get the most out of the experience.

01

Identify & Map

We register interested students and collect their details and career interests. Simultaneously, we map out and approach relevant businesses, hospitals, banks, and tech firms willing to host.

02

Assess & Prepare

We match students based on their goals. Before placement, we conduct a mandatory orientation covering workplace ethics, communication, time management, dress code, and safety.

03

Placement

Students and employers receive placement letters detailing the duration and expectations. Employers are prepped to provide learning opportunities, not just busywork.

04

Monitor & Support

We actively visit or call employers during the placement. Because GHN specializes in psychosocial support, we provide ongoing mentoring if a student finds the transition stressful.

05

Evaluate & Certify

At the end of the attachment, we gather feedback from both the employer and the student. Students are awarded a certificate of participation and, where possible, a recommendation letter.
